Job description
oneagency.co is seeking full-time and freelance PHP web developers to join our team here in Norwich. The role will include identifying website requirements, planning and implementing web solutions.
The ideal candidate will have 2 – 3 years experience in web development, specifically in a Linux/Apache hosted environment using MySQL and PHP, and ideally a relevant tertiary qualification… however this commercial experience is not essential, we also want to hear from bright-young-things.
We are looking for someone who is responsible and friendly, has good communication skills, is highly motivated and shows initiative. A natural aptitude and interest in technology is desirable.
Required skills:
- Excellent knowledge of PHP 5
- Excellent knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Good knowledge of PHP frameworks (Zend, CodeIgniter, Kohana all a bonus)
- Good knowledge of Object Oriented design concepts
- Good understanding of MVC Architecture
- Good knowledge of MySQL 5
- Good knowledge of JavaScript/jQuery
- Linux knowledge, preferably Apache, including apache configuration, cron, vhosts, httpdconf.
- Version control (SVN)
- Experience developing efficient, well-structured web-based applications
- Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to clients and colleagues in easy-to-understand language
- Ability to maintain good coding and documentation practices
Beneficial skills:
- HTML5 and CSS3
- Adobe Flash development – mostly writing ActionScript
- Familiarity with graphics applications such as Photoshop and Illustrator
- Familiarity of web services with SOAP, XML & JSON
- Think IE is evil
