As independent electrical retailers in their own right, all Euronics member stores join forces to create heavyweight buying power and, together, form the largest electrical buying group in Europe.
With 25 member countries across the continent and a total of 8,900 specialist stores and branches, every agent in each country is considered a specialist in the field of electrical goods.
Brief
Experienced in designing, building and marketing consumer electrical e-commerce projects, our online team was invited to attend a UK-wide pitch to formulate an online strategy, manage the project design and build cycle, and integrate with all ‘above the line’ consumer and brand messages.
Wisely, Euronics was looking to develop a long-standing relationship with a digital marketing agency to help it achieve this. Crucially, the winning agency had to deliver proven solutions that could handle consumer e-commerce, click and reserve purchase routes, member microsites and full-service digital marketing.
Solution
We designed and created an award-winning consumer e-commerce website that offered members unprecedented access to a number of sophisticated back-end systems and functionality.
Store owners are given the ability to publish their own stores via a unique microsite system. They can control stock management, pricing, sales messages and general content – features which were specifically designed to help stores promote themselves under the UK-wide Euronics brand.
The system also benefits from an integrated ‘Click & Reserve’ system, offering consumers the ability to securely order from a wide variety of centralised stock and choose any store to collect from. This proved the perfect answer to increasing store footfall via the internet channel.
Result
Having seen this project to successful completion and continued our positive working relationship, we were proud to be awarded Euronics’ prestigious Supplier of the Year Award in 2009 – high praise indeed from a highly regarded client!
