Our brief was to develop a summer campaign for market leading attraction GoApe to support their 28 UK locations – and boy did we have fun!
GoApe is the UK’s No. 1 forest adventure attraction with 28 locations across the UK. Following a competitive pitch, OneAgency summer campaign swang into action, based around an unusual take on the ‘selfie’ craze, encouraging people to work on their best monkey face and share with their (pri)mates.
The campaign was designed to generate incremental sales, along with increased engagement and reach via social media channels for the UK’s No.1 Forest Adventure company as it prepared for its busiest time of the year.
OneAgency developed the campaign idea of ‘#mymonkeyselfie’, an unusual approach to generate engagement among the target audience and social media followers. In-keeping with the brand philosophy about ‘having lots and lots of fun’, the six week campaign – Go Ape’s biggest competition of the year – asked people to forget pouting and posing, and instead channel their inner Bonobo, Capuchin or Marmoset.
OneAgency created a mobile responsive, dedicated platform to allow participants to upload their monkey selfie, with the competition mechanic being simple, quick and above all, accessible to all. The site, mymonkeyselfie.goape.co.uk featured the competition entry, prize details and even a gallery, where pointing and laughing was actively encouraged.back to projects
