Brief

In the run up to SALTEX, the UK’s biggest event for the groundscare sector, our client Reesink Turfcare and Toro, as show sponsors, asked us to come up with some ideas for an exhibitor leaflet insert for the official show bag.

The only restrictions were the weight (100g), the size (no bigger than A4) and our imagination (no problems there!).

Solution

For over 20 years now we’ve been pushing the boundaries of advertising creative, literature design and digital marketing to ensure Reesink Turfcare, a UK distributor of Toro, always lead the field, and this project was no different. We didn’t just want to produce a flyer; we wanted to give the show visitors an experience.

Green Spaces is an online publication we’ve produced for the professional groundscare and maintenance industry for a number of years. Packed full of useful example case studies, product launches, independent reviews on turfcare machinery, offers… anything that helps turfcare professionals, Green Spaces covers in its bi-annual spring and autumn issues.

With the new issue already in production it seemed the ideal opportunity to showcase the journalism and our editorial content in another interesting way, as an almost retro tactile piece of traditional print. The client thought so, too.

Results

Eight pages carefully crafted to include the top stories, contained within a uniquely tactile format, purposefully sized to 250mm x190mm to offer that added intrigue when discovered within the bag, and deliberately printed onto an uncoated tough-feel stock to match the wider Toro campaign creative. Handed out as visitors entered the show the Green Spaces printed issue delivered the perfect coffee break during the show, or train journey home read, and the client a quality solution to the usual bag insert.

7000 printed, 7000 delivered, 0 wasted.

Print-to-digital or digital-to-print, either way it’s about making the most of the space.
