OneAgency strengthens team with new client services hire

OneAgency has recently appointed a new integrated account executive to help support the client services department.

Beth Alston joined the team in late 2016 after spending the past five years working in freelance journalism and marketing and recruitment in the higher education (HE) sector.

In her former role, Beth worked for universities as an international marketing and recruitment officer. Travelling around Europe, Asia and America, she gained valuable insight into the business culture of other nationalities.

She has also enjoyed freelance journalism work for China Daily, The Leicester Mercury and online magazine, Music Broke my Bones, as well as more locally for Just Regional. During her time working at De Montfort University in Leicester, Beth produced and edited a local community magazine with articles and photography from the student population, Leicester residents and guest writers.

Mark Littlewood, managing director, says that Beth’s expertise in copywriting and freelance journalism will strengthen the agency’s offering, allowing her to work across PR and SEM (search engine marketing) campaigns, with consideration to both brand and organic search terms.

He comments: “Good quality content is vital for a brand to be successful. But we cannot just create content for content’s sake. It has to be relevant, unique and valuable to stand apart; while also being able to add value to digital marketing and SEM campaigns. Beth’s strong and varied background will enable her to tell our clients’ stories in compelling ways and drive customers to action.”

In addition to her strong editorial skills, Beth has planned and delivered many marketing campaigns and events in the HE sector, including international conferences, launch and celebration events.

As an integrated account executive, she will be expanding her skill set working across PR, social media and brand development.
