A new destination for entrepreneurship
OneAgency was tasked with a site reskin and brand design update for the existing WordPress site. Requiring a flexible result that allows Cambridge Enterprise team members to update news and event
information within the CMS, the digital projects and client services teams worked closely with the client to deliver a brand refresh, and UX improvements across the site.

Understanding the stories behind the work
Our UX team began by conducting a full UX review to the existing site, identifying where the user journey could be improved. This work helped to shape the creative direction of the redesign, as well as prepared our development team for any back-end work.
During this work, we noticed that the inspiring stories featured on the site were hidden within a subsection. This shaped our planning of the new site: our aim was to give these stories space to shine.

Crafting an improved user experience
Following this, our design team worked to expand and evolve the existing brand, and the UX team prepared new wireframes. To help provide the best experience for users, much of the work in the development team was spent on improving the filter system, so that entrepreneurs can find the resources they need more easily.
With a wide range of resources, events, and guides, it was important to give a clear journey for users, and to be able to send them to the relevant help required. Separating out the resources into sections, including ‘helpful guides’, and ‘podcasts’, and including anchor links in the main navigation dropdown menu was another way to help those navigating the site.

Creating the building blocks for an evolving website
Working quickly to build the required WordPress pages, our development team rolled out the updated brand, and built a variety of CMS blocks to be used across the pages. With multiple blocks created in the development stage, it provides templates for future use across the website as it develops further.
The end result is a refreshed website that not only better represents the Cambridge IE brand but creates a streamlined journey for future innovators taking their first steps into the world of entrepreneurship.
