Social Media Account Manager

We're on the hunt for a passionate Social Media Account Manager to join our team!

As part of the Digital Marketing and Social team, you will play a key role in the delivery of social media campaigns across a broad spectrum of clients, spanning both B2B and B2C accounts.

You will have a solid understanding of social media and the role it plays in the wider marketing mix, with a proven ability to manage both organic and paid social activity.

Creativity, attention to detail and enthusiasm are qualities that go without saying – we need someone who will push boundaries and take ownership of existing and new client accounts; delivering engaging, forward-thinking social campaigns.

The ideal candidate will stay one-step-ahead of the latest digital trends and constantly strive to use insights to drive idea generation and new initiatives.

The role will be a hybrid position, with a balance of home working and Norwich office working.

Key responsibilities

  • Executing social media strategies for a range of clients and daily management of client accounts across all social media channels: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Snapchat, TikTok and YouTube;
  • Setting up social media advertising campaigns;
  • Monitoring accounts’ performance and results, generating reports and insights on a regular basis;
  • Providing support when developing social media strategies and planning social content/campaigns;
  • Participating in developing creative ideas for social media/marketing content;
  • Creating inventive, engaging social media content for all platforms – this includes writing content calendars and creating/co-ordinating visual content;
  • Publishing reactive content in line with relevant current affairs and trending topics; and
  • Monitoring the digital and competitive landscape, keeping on top of industry trends and new developments.
  • Proof and refine social media calendars to ensure accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years experience managing social media accounts and using social media management tools;
  • Minimum of 3 years experience setting up and managing paid social media advertising campaigns;
  • Knowledge of Google analytics and other social media reporting tools;
  • Creative flair and eye for great imagery;
  • A natural written communicator with great attention to detail;
  • Highly organised, with great time management skills;
  • Must be forward-thinking and proactive – a self-starter;
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends;
  • Good knowledge and interest in the wider digital marketing landscape, including SEO and content marketing.

Desired Skills

  • Agency experience would be preferable;
  • Proficient Photoshop skills – ability to create/edit assets to use on social platforms;
  • Knowledge of video editing software, such as Premier Pro;
  • Experience using CMS platforms such as WordPress would be of benefit; and
  • Experience working with influencers and managing relationships with bloggers would be ideal, but not essential.
